Open Source Ecology
This technology has got me thinking about its potential impact for a while now. Open Source Ecology, and the Global Village Construction Set is as much a system of inter-operable machines, as it is an enabler for pretty much every need in Manfred Max-Neef’s Human Needs and Human-scale development matrix.
If you are sick and tired of the way your society works, you can now create one yourself with the help of some people. I reckon that the threshold for building a small sustainable settlement is pretty low in a third world country. Just hire some cheap manual labor and leave your own cultural footprint for generations to come. Even if your village won’t ever make it to a high population count, the next Indus Valley civilization may be yours!
